Started his career in the first Public Sector Refinery in the year 1959 and was involved in the design, construction, commissioning & maintenance before moving over to Indian Oil Corporation. From Indian Oil Corporation, he moved over to Madras Refineries Limited (later came to be known as Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited) for design, construction, commissioning of a Grassroots Refinery and served in various capacities and reached the position of General Manager (Refinery) when he was chosen by Government of India to head the Oil Industry Safety Directorate as its Director and served there until his retirement. Currently he is Vice Chairman of Mekaster Equipment & Engineering Private Limited.
Has been deputed by Government of India as Engineering Manager for carrying out the complete Engineering of the Korean Refinery in Korea.
Has knowledge and exposure in Top Management, Engineering, Projects, Commissioning, Maintenance, Inspection, Troubleshooting and Turnaround Management
